Microsoft continues to roll out features for gamers in Windows 11. The latest Windows update will be a godsend for those who use multiple monitors with different refresh rates.
Windows 11 brings dynamic refresh rate to multiple monitors
A number of important improvements were made as part of the Windows Insider 25195 build. The update, which especially appeals to users who prefer multiple monitors, will offer dynamic refresh rate in Windows 11. This will make it easier to run different applications on different screens.
Previously, Windows 11 offered different refresh rates on multiple monitors in a limited way. The new version will make it possible to run a 144fps game on one screen while playing a 60fps YouTube video on the other.
This will be a godsend for people who use gaming monitors with high refresh rates. Windows 11 will optimize the refresh rate for each monitor independently, depending on the application opened on the screen.
To use the feature, which is available with Windows Insider 25195, you must use a PC and monitor that supports the WDDM 3.1 driver. Note that the dynamic refresh rate feature will be disabled on laptops in battery saver mode.
Note that dynamic refresh rate support is currently available in the Insider channel. However, it is expected to be brought to the stable Windows version in the next few months.
Also, according to user reports, Microsoft’s update KB5028254 for Windows 11 breaks the Start menu. It is stated that the bug that causes the menu to be dysfunctional, in short, does not originate from Microsoft.
